Close access to a detailed facade
Shophouse facades are full of fine detail. Cornices, mouldings, window surrounds and timber shutters sit several storeys above the street. Looking after them properly means working within arm's reach of the surface, not from the pavement.
A boom lift gave the team close, controlled access to the upper facade and cornice. Every stage followed a written method statement and rescue plan.
Maintenance scope
- Boom-lift access to the upper facade and cornice
- Surface preparation, then repainting of the walls, mouldings and window surrounds
- Timber shutters refinished in a colour matched to the restored scheme
- Method statements and rescue plans for each stage of the work
